A new way of drinking in Sydney

The three previous times that I’ve entertained friends or headed out to a gathering I’ve had to ask someone to ‘pick me up something’ on their way in. Be it a nice bottle of white or red, or two six packs of Asahi (as was the case just last night), my rather lax approach to keeping a well stocked fridge, and thus needing a mate to step in to come through with the goods, is not ideal.

This kind of disorganisation is not typical of me. I’m the type of guy who has three unopened tooth paste tubes at the back of my cupboard, enough toilet rolls stored away for a good month and plenty of ingredients in the pantry to cater for spontaneous drop ins from friends. But, when it comes to alcohol, I’m simply not organised

It could be because it just gets consumed so quickly around here that it can seem like a never ending purchasing stream, or because buying alcohol is typically a pretty heavy and unpleasant affair. Lugging all those heavy bottles and cartons around – no thanks!

That’s why I’ve started to lean on alcohol delivery service kentstreetcellars.com.au for all of my beverage needs.

Kent Street Cellars is an alcohol delivery service that operates from the heart of the Sydney CBD and has got you covered for personal, corporate and gifting alcohol orders. All you have to do is simply visit their website, have a scroll through their online shop, select what you need (let’s be honest, what you want, rather) and hit the order button. You can either have it delivered to your home or work, or if it’s a gift, straight to the recipients address.

They’ve got everything from Veuve Clicquot 1.5L Magnum down to cases of Carlton Draft, so there’s something for every price point, and palette.

It was only a matter of time before a service like this took off in Sydney. We’ve begun to rely on websites like Menu Log to deliver us all kinds of foods at all kinds of times of the day, so why wouldn’t we do the same for our drinks? It marks a mobile approach to eating, drinking and entertaining and I predict that it’s only a matter of time before we start to see apps pop up where you can schedule your entire meals for the week, and which establishments they come from!

So next time you’re on the go, on your way home or considering getting together with a few friends, why not order yourself something to whet your whistle from Kent Street Cellars.
