Humans of New York: Celebrating the New York Community

By Erin • December 18, 2012 • Places

This week, I’m exploring New York. If Sydney is stimulating, New York is absolutely overwhelming – but in a good way, of course. I can’t possibly tell you about all the amazing people I’m coming across but the HUMANS OF NEW YORK photo blog does a pretty good job of summing it up…

In 2010, Brandon set out to photograph 10 000 of New york’s inhabitants in an attempt to create a photo blog of all the weird and wonderful people that make up one of the world’s most notorious cities. What started as a collection of photos has expanded to include quotes, stories and videos of just some of the city’s creatures.

Brandon’s project is truly beautiful and is a creative way to celebrate and explore exactly what, or who, makes New York such a unique place.

I’ve included just a handful of images from the site but there’s hours worth of viewing at the Humans of New York website.
