One of my closest friends and I have a competition going. It’s based on giving but it’s a competition nonetheless. Each year, we endeavor to give the other a quirkier birthday card than we receive ourselves. Being the first of our two birthdays, I know I have much to live up to this year. Enter Able and Game.
If Hallmark were hiring I most certainly wouldn’t make it past the interview stage. I’m sentimental but I don’t like expressing sentiment. I’ve been known to give others a friendly shove rather than a hug (or heaven forbid a kiss!) and I have kindly requested that any person of significance in my life NEVER EVER refer to me by any of the following:
- Honey (or hun)
You get the drift….
I discovered Able and Game’s range of greeting cards at the Sydney Finders Keepers Markets. Designed and printed by two very clever and pretty funny creatives from Melbourne, they cover just about every significant event from Mother’s Day to birthdays, sleepovers and everything in between. The designs are cute and quirky while the sentiments are personal and honest without being lame.
I’m quietly confident I’ll win this year’s competition with my card courtesy of Able and Game. I can’t tell you which one I chose – I know the friend in question will be reading this post (or at least she should be). Feel free to take a guess at http://ableandgame.com.
